Further Information fields can be added to various areas of Ciphr People to store different types of information. This article demonstrates how these further information fields can be added to security field groups for the purpose of restricting access to certain information.
These instructions are only suitable for use by System Administrator users of Ciphr, with extensive knowledge of setting up security/user roles.

Ciphr Decisions is a data analysis tool that allows users to look at virtually any combination of pre-selected fields. For example Basic pay displayed by Grade and then by Location. One of the strengths of Ciphr Decisions is that reports, even complex ones, are displayed instantly.
These instructions should only be followed by a user with an advanced level of knowledge of the Ciphr application, who has attended the System Manager training course.
For this example, we will look at a system which has had some Further Information fields added to the Personal Details area, to store Keycard information (for information on how this has been achieved, please see the Helpdesk Information Sheet entitled ‘How To Use Information Fields To Store Additional Information In Ciphr’)
There are usually two options for this to happen:
1. Produce a report that can be sent to payroll staff to manually enter the changes.
2. Use a Paylink module that transfers the changes that have recently occurred in to the payroll system.
We have several paylink modules and each one is created to fit a different payroll application. For all other payroll applications we have a Universal Paylink . Some Paylink modules will only send changes or newly inserted records to the payroll where as the Universal Paylink will send the entire record even if only one field has been amended.
The Manpower Indices report is a standard report within Ciphr People. By default, the report is located within the ‘Reports’ > ‘Manpower’ menu.
The report output is broken down into three distinct sections; Stability Index, Skill Conservation Index, Labour Wastage.
When a user runs the report, they should be prompted for a date. This user specified date is used in each of the three report sections, detailed below.
You may wish to include the same field more than once in one report, in order that different values can be reported on – one example would be wanting to show someone’s current department information alongside their department information as at a point in time.
